Whoo Boy,….This is the quintessential universal broken hearted “woe is me song”.
I think everybody has been there at least once.

A friend of mine in Nashville helped arrange this song. I had played with him for sometime here in Illinois. He had some great studio players. We wanted to make a “real” country song. I wrote it in ’85,…and finally recorded it in the early ’90s.

This lovely song reminds me of one sang at a fantastic evening in Cardiff, Wales, watching the great Don Williams - we were all sat, arms in the air, swaying and singing along. Electric! This track has the same quality.

Great authentic country sound! Love the addition of the female vox later in the track - very tender!

do you record this in your home? these have a bakersfield country tone...that pristine buck owens sound. i think they're all extremely well put together, so whoever is doing your production really knows how to arrange country music.
