Show the World Some Love
Colleen Dillon
Wrote this song yesterday after another long week of crummy news in the world and had the good fortune of the Minnesota song writers in my living room tonight to help me bring it to life. Greg Connor - on the cigar beat box, Colin Walterson on the bass, Scott Zosel and John Davis on guitars. Recorded once again around my coffee table on a little Tascam. Hope you like it!

Intro:
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do’
Do do do do do do
Do do do do do
Every day it’s more and more
Sad endings, all bad news
It makes you want to run and hide
There’s nothing you can do
Maybe it’s just simple
Little things you say and do
Your words they really matter
And your deeds they matter too
Chorus:
Show the world some love people
One day at a time
Little things you do can
Make the grey turn to sunshine
You’ve got to stop your thinking that it’s someone else’s due
Show the world some love people
You’ll make a difference too
Show the world some love people
It’s not that hard to do
I was just out walking
Thinking what can one soul do?
Will it ever be all right?
Will we survive this too?
Then I saw a stranger and
Looked them in the eye
I calmed my fear and said hello
A smile was their reply
Repeat Chorus:
Outro:
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do do
Do do do do do
Yeah...! This is so wonderfully organic and the groove ! What a nice jam riff.I miss that " live" feel . Looking to find that recording opportunity again.
Great reggae beat. I feel the ocean breezes of the Caribbean.
God knows the world needs help. Great little reggae tune sounded like fun to put together.
this must be a great coffee table!!...lots of amazing songs are written around it. another outstanding collaboration...love it!!
Thanks for the kind words Greg and the Proods! Fun to try something a little out of my normal mode of writing.
Oh . . . this is good! It's always fun sitting around your coffee table with you and the boys. *GREAT MESSAGE* in this song.
