A lovely song written by Gene to celebrate our 17th year as a band together.

This chord progression was written within five minutes by Vinnie Caggiano. It sounds like the theme for a macabre TV comedy, ergo the title.

We like to jam. The proof is in the fact that we have hundreds of hours of recorded music going back to 1992. The problem was, none of us wanted to edit out the clams, trainwrecks, etc. because it was too much hassle. Finally, in our 21st year, we decided to take this public–raw, completely unedited and mostly rough-mixed. (Because, yes, we think there’s some brilliance here nonetheless.)

We are Vinnie, [guitar] Dave [bass], Gene [guitar] and Hank [drums.] Gene is the composer of a great deal of our music. (Vinnie, on the other hand, tends to play the majority of notes.)

We sometimes take a few chords out of the hat and cycle them around, seeking the musical one-minded sweet spot. Sometimes we dive into more complex progressions, some written beforehand, some written on the spot. It’s the coolest thing to let music take you where it decides to take you, and that’s what we are all about.
