Rock and Roll Part 3 (Glitter)
doktordoktor
I wanted to rewrite one of his songs, partly because it’s a shame that they aren’t played or remembered any more, but also to say that he has stained the memories of so many fans from the seventies.
In the age of glam you were the fancy man
We all wanted to be in your gang,
In your silver suits and your platform boots
And that star guitar with the twang,
But you left the rails and you lost your fame,
And now nobody even whispers your name.
Rock and Roll, rock and roll,
Rock and roll, rock and roll,
Rock and roll, rock and roll,
Rock and roll, rock, that’s rock and roll.
Now you’re doing time
And I guess that’s fine,
We’ve forgotten the sound of your voice,
Cos the dj Joes and the TVs shows
Have already made their choice.
There’s no celebrity and no royalty,
But you did your fans a disloyalty.
Rock and roll, etc…
