Shed Sounds

Well, my entry for RPM 2022 went from LP to (a very short) 4 song EP but this track I think has bags of potential. It was a discarded idea from a few years ago that was lurking in my ‘half-baked’ Logic folder but something in it ignited my creative juices. It needs lyrics and vocals and some of the arrangement is a bit sparse in places but I love the melody - it’s uplifting and it sticks!

Interestingly, the upbeat feel of it disguises the fact it was all done whilst Putin invaded Ukraine… I felt there was enough angst in the real world without adding a depressing song.

The bass is my Precision ‘Bitsa’ with flat wound strings
