I’ve recently been in the car listening to a TIDAL suggested playlist which contained a lot of 80s stuff by Nik Kershaw, Tears For Fears, the Duranies etc and had an enlightening moment…. If you’re not a pro then stop trying to play like one (I’m not John Taylor, therefore don’t go there!)

As a result the bass on this is not at all clever or trying to cram as many notes in as possible. I tried to just go for a groove that matched the different phases of the track. I like the stop/start nature of this and the unique rhythm on the strings pad (I learnt a new trick on how to do this!)
