I wanted to start composing in the "classical" or "romantic" style for piano. This is the first movement of a sonata fantasia, its a sonata because it has three movements, but a fantasia because it doesnt have the exact structure of a sonata.
Well done friend,,, very lyrical,, i am just now trying to do my first sonata,, you give me inspiration!! this is very pretty,, how long/how many iterations did this take??
Very interesting and quite beautiful, almost a Valse like quality, i might guess you are a Chopin fan like myself,, i have been working on Chopin's Valse B min Op 69 no1,,, this shares the same dream like dance quality... Lovely
Found this track from 1998 - I'm on a Time kick I guess...
Time waits for no one
We are all adrift
Finding ourselves in space
All Lost
Where is my Home?
Where is my Home?
Where is my Home?
Where is my Home?
Time waits for no…
Hi - thought I'd throw up an older piece today while I have time (doing work at the new house later). This is an improvisation with my Fender Mustang / Roland GR-20 combination retuned on the fly to 9 notes per octave "Sorog" tuning. I think…
Had these backing tracks laying around on my drive for a while and didn't know what to do with them, so grabbed my Ebow and a fretless electric that I built for myself a couple years ago and had a go. My fretless playing is really in its infancy…
I had some fun this afternoon with a bluesy tune - and ran out of time for singing and my vocals are not good - wanna try?
I need to remember to tune my guitars down when I want to sing - that would make my life easier.
No doubt you have heard parts of this before.
Guys - if I could play like this I would not be making a living as a chemist! This is a midi file I ran through pianoteq - I put this together in an hour this morning and I wanted to share before…
I swore that I would NEVER upload this. Was having a bad day trying to loop "nice" acoustic guitar sounds and got frustrated so grabbed my Taylor and plugged it into a cheesy Effects box and straight into the looper. Started twiddling knobs and…
This is a solo piano improvisation that I performed last year (2009) but have tinkered off and on for a while as a work in progress. It really isn’t done yet but I thought I might let others hear it. The piano sound is generated entirely by…
It is to you
I look for every step
It is to you
I look for every breath
No one can see the tide they're riding
No one can see the place they're going
It is for you
I look in every face
It is for you
I look in every place
There is no loneliness…
This is probably the last of this stuff from the archives that I'll upload. Rescued from a cassette tape of a live performance with former band mates in Scartaglen. These tunes are popular down in the Southwest of Ireland. Michael(Fiddle) and…
I'm working on several version of this art song by Charles Ives called The Cage from 1906. I would be very interested to collaborate with a vocalist (the flute line or an octave below) - and the vocal style doesn't have to be operatic - probably…
Well, I had this crazy idea that *maybe* Buddy Guy was using some microtonal inflections in his cover of Tramp (which are what the "blue notes" are and thought it would be cool to cover it with my fretless guitar. As it turned out it was my ear…
This started as my fretless guitar bowed and picked with various effects. I then applied Paul's Extreme Stretch at 8x and also with Just Intonation harmonic constraints similar to Keys at Lowes - then the 4 tracks were loaded into Sonar 8.5…
George's message is everything
I have not done many covers.... this I had to do
but it does not compare to the original
This is from 1983 and is a primitive multiple double tracked recording
yamaha CS-10 monophonic analog synth (for everything…
