The Song Remains

I lost track of time this past Friday with this song. I found a sketch of the melody and a few of the lines that I had recorded on my phone in late April 2019. I was getting ready to move from my magical little studio that resided in a 1923 Great Northern Caboose because the land was sold to become condos. I had written a good majority of my musical catalog in that space as well as hosted regular band rehearsals and weekly lessons for all my students. That place was … music!

I am fairly happy with how this tune surfaced
I may still tweek a few lyrics for better flow but I think it carries my heart.
