High N Mighty
High ’n Mighty
(t boudreau)
Well look who made it halfway
I truly must be blessed
I made a few mistakes and caught a couple of breaks I guess
And I always do it my way
I make it up as I go along
I think I earned some slack to take a look back at what went wrong
We used to be so high, high and mighty
Never knew what we stood for, Never thought we could fall
We were taught that if you tried you just might succeed
And the slightest bit of difference is significant to the whole
(Well I see ya) standing out there sideways
You got your heels dug in deep
Surrounded by your boys making all that noise its so cheap
I know your heart is out on your sleeve
And your backs against the wall
All those sleepless nights from the plight of how the mighty will fall
We used to be so high, high and mighty
Never knew what we stood for, Never thought we could fall
We were taught that if you tried you just might succeed
And the slightest bit of difference is significant to the whole
Out on that lonesome highway
Its getting hard to read the signs
What was once secure is now obscure and robbed us blind
And as the middle fades away
And the bottoms dropping out
A constant divide, a cultures suicide, without a doubt
We used to be so high, high and mighty
Never knew what we stood for, Never thought we could fall
We were taught that if you tried you just might succeed
And the slightest bit of difference is significant to the whole
well if you’re dying while your trying it’s still better than not trying at all
And if you’re burning while you’re earning well ya never learned a thing at all
But your slightest bit of difference is significant to us all
Dig this track, reminds me of some Rolling Stones stuff.
