It started with the opening riff. I liked the sound of a twangy guitar riff over a heavy drum loop. The B section has an almost jazzy feel to it. I'm happiest with the bassline.

I was listening to Dinosaur Jr. on my commute one day. I tried to write the lyrics in the vocal style of J. Mascis. The first line of the chorus comes from a fortune cookie. Inspiration comes from everywhere, I guess.

Melodic, peaceful, and trance-inducing instrumental. Used a synth clav as the underlying thematic instrument, then layered a few other things on top. The "guitar" counter-melody at the end is me playing a bass in the upper registers.

Rhythmic groove with bass and "guitars". In addition to the obvious bass track, the two distorted "guitar" tracks are actually also basses, EQ'ed and altered with various effects to sound less bassy and more guitary.

A lonely, slow, tune... with a forlorn and sometimes tense distorted guitar (actually my bass). Good music to listen to as you zone out and stare into space.
