THIS TRACK:
Starts off with Mosquitoes, I know it does not sound like them.. but really, fast wings have the best tone! Those bastards are good for something other than perpetual discomfort and f-ing up recordings! Then slam the track with a heavy bass drum—pitched down dusky titi monkey… and the filtered cymbal-like sounds are toucans pitched up…I then proceed to add some frogs suggested by future Dr. Bellota to be leptodactylidesylido, and leptodactylides.
THen I add some emperor tamarins, first unmanipulated… then pitched… they are the squeaky high whiney sounds.
There are at Least 5 species of birds in there, but I am bad with birds. I add some wild pig sounds (the melodically upward moving delayed motif..it’s subtle) Also a saki monkey territorial call is injected into the beat
But you would not be able to tell.
Add some more bird calls, natural sounds.. then repeat them..
then I go out with a bang… with the spider monkeys!!!
