brainstorms

These unvarnished motifs were written, recorded, and mixed during short brainstorm sessions over the summer of 2009. The original idea was to only allot myself one hour per a session but I sometimes deviated with slightly shorter or longer sessions. I mostly stopped indicating the time spent for each session; I was worried that it became either too self-indulgent or braggadocios. Ultimately, this exercise was designed to emphasize the exploratory aspect of the creative song-writing process.

These works explore a panorama of emotions, or so they try to do so.
