Now for something a little bit different: a traditional Chinese New Year song played by a Chinese instrumental ensemble.

Had a jam session with a few friends who also play traditional Chinese instruments at my place yesterday, and this was the best song we played together - which to the best of my knowledge is so old it is not copyrighted (and I can therefore upload it here). The sound quality was surprisingly clear, considering I recorded the track on video using a digital camera then ripped the audio out as an mp3.

Featuring Sarah on Chinese bamboo flute; Andrew, Juele and Alvin on erhu (Chinese 2-stringed violin), me on zhongruan (Chinese plucked string alto instrument) and Malcolm on keyboard.
