Anachoresis (n): to retreat, to withdraw to avoid predators
Since we moved to rural Nevada in July 2022, we have been yelled at, vandalized, and I was either hit by a car or attacked while on a morning walk and left for dead. We have both suffered through Covid and I had to have an ovary and fist-sized cyst removed and have been dealing with lingering fatigue, body aches and shortness of breath that may turn out to be multiple myeloma. Through many months of recovery, healing, learning to sing again, and learning to be taken care of for the first time as an adult, Tom and I have slowly compiled this new collection. It is indeed a miracle. Also included are a few updated tracks from previous albums that seem to have a more appropriate place here.
I’m slowly, tentatively, crawling out of this hole, continuing to discover where my body and mind need continued healing and learning to again experience the warmth of the sun. <3Kat
