and I know you don’t recall my face at all

But you were my sister,
before you were famous,
but now you think I’m chasing your windfall

was it the moonshine
or all the high roads
was it the bitter stance
or some encrypted codes

was it the folk fest
or just a lucky guess?
you’d be my clementine
I’d be your best friend

Have you seen my brother?
He’s pounding pavement
I think those jackals must have found us after all

Although it’s winter,
I’m here to stake my claim
because I knew your real name once upon a time
and I guess I must be goin’ through withdrawl

Please take this olive branch
It’s just a token, but it’ll do for now
