Christmas In My Heart

CHRISTMAS IN MY HEART
Dear Mom and Dad,
I know you worry.
I know you’re tired.
But I know you are thinking of me.
Your letters keep me inspired.
When the time comes and I can’t leave,
Sand in my boots, sours on my feet
I’ll stand the heat because it’s
CHRISTMAS IN MY HEART.
It’s Christmas in my heart
out on this sandy sea
But thanks to my memory
It’s Christmas in my heart.
I’ve got a picture.
You’ve got one too.
Remember that picture of me
throwing snowballs at you?
Well, this ain’t no forest
and it’s miles from a tree
There’s holes in the sky where
the clouds ought to be
But that doesn’t bother be because it’s
Christmas in my heart.
You can tell Mom I got those cookies.
They didn’t last long around here.
It’s Christmas in my heart
out on this sandy sea
and thanks for the memory
I’ve got Christmas in my heart.
