The BUDS AND BLOSSOMS
James Michael Taylor
THE BUDS AND BLOSSOMS
I’ve been meaning to write you a letter
But I did not know what I would say
I’ve been thinking about you and your new love
And wishing that there was a way…
And the buds and the blossoms remind me of you today
And how long it’s been since we really had something to say
Now, the harvest will soon be upon us
The branches are hanging so low
But Im already gathering memories
What to do with them, I just don’t know
And the buds and the blossoms remind me of you today
And how long it’s been since we really had something to say
And the buds and the blossoms remind me of you today
And how long it’s been since we really had something to say
…….
Barbara wrote this about a friend from Portland. It became her most requested song until she wrote North Sulfur River. But, then it was the only other song of hers she sang.
Barbara wrote a beautiful song about her grandmother, who caught a wild seal and trained it to do a circus act, but it has been lost.

Barbara wrote it in the 70s.
Great! Lovely song, sung beautifully! LG
Beautiful song
Lovely lilting melody and a song that would mean something to everyone I would imagine. Great voice too. Is that Peggy in the background, sounds pretty? Cheers Bethan
