THE HAND OF GOD

I wrote this for a movie Keith Kjornes and I were making.
I don’t remember the name of it.

I was trying to write a song as bad as the movie.
I think I succeeded.

The hand of god reached down and made Adam
He said, “Don’t eat the apple, but you can eat the plum.
And then he made him Eve, and he made her a deceiver.
They disobeyed when they should have prayed

The hand of god reached down and stopped Abraham
He saved the life of Issac but he doomed the lamb
It was sure a relief. It saved him from some grief
Wouldn’t it be grand if god would show his hand

I’d like to feel the hand of god on my shoulder
Maybe it would help me be a little bit bolder
What a comfort it would be to feel him here with me
Wouldn’t it be grand to feel his hand on my shoulder
