New Apple Flowers
jaronchilds
There was a man from Galilee
With hands that cared for everything
They took his plow and beat it into swords
I have a dad I never see
And children here in front of me
We’re going where the apples taste like flowers
I wouldn’t just let anyone
Cut my hair when it gets long
But if you ask I’ll trust you with my ears
If you want a thing to disappear
Just carve your name on it my dear
Or hold my hand and I will never leave
I saw two snails inside a shell
And they were kept there very well
It made me think about the way we are
So keep the snow out of your boots
I may not always carry you
I’m old enough to know our days are small
I’d like someone to take me back
To a place I cannot photograph
Where everything is bathed in gentle light
There was a man from Galilee
With hands that cared for everything
They took his plow and beat it into swords
