Strip Club

I got the idea for this song several weeks ago after spending some time on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. You can’t swing a dead cat there without hitting a “Gentleman’s Club,” though I’m not exactly sure why anyone would be swinging a dead cat, much less swinging it in a crowded place such as Bourbon Street. I’m sure it would be very much frowned upon by everyone around.
Anyway, I got to thinking about the dark and dreary sides of these establishments rather than the fun, perky, smooth and well toned sides usually seen dancing around poles. Not that I’d ever frequent any of these establishments, unless, of course, the group I was with insisted. Then it’s just a matter of common courtesy. I don’t want to rock the boat…
Anyway….
This is the first tune I’ve put up in quite some time. The Muse seemed to have left me for quite some time. I haven’t been around MJ too much lately, just stopping in every once in a while to catch a few tunes or just to see what was going on. Hopefully, the new year will be a more productive one.
This is a little different sound for me. I’ve put it under Ambient because, quite honestly, I don’t know what else to put it under and I think it fits at least my understanding of what the category is.
This is also the first tune I’m posting using my brand new setup, including a new pre-amp, mic, speakers and a shiny new iMac. Woo Hoo!!!!
I hope you enjoy the tune.
