As her death boat drifts with the currents run
Her beautiful hair shines, golden in the sun
The breeze gently kissing it with soft summer air.
Her body gleams, white, porcelain, and fair.
This beauteous creature did not love me,
And yet it is I who gave her this beauty.
It was I who designed those soft rose lips,
Those tresses, which flow down to her fingertips.
Yes, I shaped her to be my child.
A young knight took my love away.
She felt his love would save her soul,
with him her heart would stay.
He alone would satisfy her longing to be pursued,
Her longing to feel beautiful,
to never be misused.
The knight could not fulfill her needs
although she’d beg and plead.
She’d never feel his caress,
his love never possess.
And in the end she took her life,
hoping to escape pain.
Now she’ll never know True Love,
for she never knew my name.
