THE LOSER’S BALL

Well, it’s just a game and anyone can play it 
it’s a crying shame no ending or beginning
it’s a losing game and everybody wins. 

It doesn’t take a lot to learn to play it 
just all you’ve got to the point of breaking 
it’s a losing game and everybody wins.

Don’t get your hopes up too high 
you can run but you’ll never hide 
the bigger you are the harder you fall 
The odds are always against you 
you can try but you’ll end up 
with your back against the wall
it’s last call at the loser’s ball. 

Step right up, step right up and take it 
it’s just a chance you can enter now or later 
it’s a losing game and everybody wins. 

You can come in first or you can come in second 
you can come in third or you don’t have to finish 
it’s a losing game and everybody wins.
