When I used to work third shift at Kinko’s, I’d sometimes leave the weather radio on, and the automated voice and cadence (though different now from the one 20+ years ago) still has a comforting tinge of nostalgia. I have a weather radio on my desk, and decided to document the unusual winter storm coming our way.

The noises come from manipulated tape loops I created at the beginning of February. I used an old Fostex 4-track, a cheap mixer, a Casio keyboard from the early 80s (mine and my brother’s), a Stylophone, and couple of guitar pedals.
