Thank you for your encouragement, Colleen and fairynuff. It truly is appreciated.
You know, i kinda just felt that improv couldn't be improved upon so i just kinda left it as is. (It's about two years old at this point.) I just really like that mix of tones / preset patches.
But thanks to both your comments i should probably figure out those melodies and maybe add some piano noodling tweaks of 'em (or something. I suspect it's a lot of Gm, Cm D major throughout.)
Thank for the kind words, Sha-Pink -- and the lyrics to "Saturnalia" as well! :)
My piece was just a piano improvisation but it was performed on an Alesis Fusion 8HD synthesizer, so it wasn't *actually* a piano. ;-)
Did you play or sequence the piano on this? Beautiful piece of music. Saturnalia... we have the lyrics up here http://www.sha-pink.com/music/artparty/sng10_Saturnalia.html. Thanks!
Thank you for your kind words, fairynuff! Much appreciated!
Yeah, it was an improv'd. Do you also find it difficult to objectively judge your own material, too? Had forgotten all about this one until my girlfriend told me "I really like #22 on that CD you gave me..." Ever since her comment i pretty much post this one everywhere. I am so glad that others enjoy it as well. ^_^
or A.K.A. the Caribou Lake song...
I wrote this one for my Dad, who while up at our family cabin in the north woods of MN said there's not enough music about the woods...
My first "one take wonder" - just me and my little Uke - roughing…
Thank you kindly, Fairynuff. Apparently cigar box guitars are all the rage on eBay these days; i bought a 2nd one and figured i better record something with it.
You'd get a better idea of the real (i.e., un-distorted) sound of them by searching for YouTube videos though, to be honest.
Thanks again for your kind and encouraging comment. :)
Thank you for your kind words on the previous version of this song, fairynuff. :) That means a lot to me as i greatly enjoy *your* work! (Are you uploading something new soon? Please, please! ;-)
I added some piano and fiddled around with the beginning to try to make it more interesting...

This is a nice and mellow one. ^_^
Have you got the lyrics posted somewhere? (Just curious 'cause of the title. I like it anyway whether i know what it's about or not.. ;-)
This is really nice! Kinda rockin' and uplifting at the same time. :)
Sounds like it would be great playing at the gym or -- as the title states -- while cruising down the highway in one's car, hair blowing through one's hair and whatnot... ^_^
Lovely! And here you've got me leaving the living room to walk back to this computer to see what you've name *this* one, Igor!
Just splendid! Love the transition at the end!
Thank you for your kind words, fairynuff! Much appreciated!
