King Bernard

Eze Victor Bernard is popularly known in the entertainment industry as King Bernard. His brand name and moniker, ‘King’, is simply an English translation of his real native name Eze, which means king in his native Igbo language parlance, and this perhaps explains why he wears a crown everywhere he goes, just to symbolise his ‘kingship status’, on account of his native name.

Professionally, he took up a career in music in late 2016, when he joined DISIAC Entertainments, where he released his debut single, titled ‘Gimme More’, and later released two other club-popping hits, ‘Jekalo’ and ‘Answer’. Another song he did was Delilah, which was a song that trended during the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, and Instablog picked it up and made the song for Cee-C, even though he did not compose it for Cee-C.

Also nicknamed Crown Boy, he is renowned for wearing a crown in his music videos and on social media photo shots. His other interests include scriptwriting and acting, having featured Nollywood actresses, Regina Daniels and Ruth Kadiri in two of his musical films.

On his reason for choosing these two divas in his musical video, King said, ‘they are friends and nothing more.’ After several months of working on other projects, King breaks the silence with a new music, titled Escapade. Escapade, a song and title he derived from a romance novel, will be released Saturday, August 11, 2018, which co-incidentally is his birthday. The song is sure to melt hearts as King Bernard says he put into it all his best to ensure a perfect finish and chart buster, which will engender massive media review and air waves on both radio and TV.
