A very close friend of mine stood outside his wife’s house and said pretty much these same words after he was stupid and ended up having a one night stand.. I was joking when i told him it sounded like a dam good country tune.. Needless to say, he eventually seen the irony in what he said to her.. After i wrote this song he got this weird look on his face after he heard it for the first time and said” did i really come across that pathetic”??.. I said “yeah brother, you did.” lol Enjoy..
