This is the old Willie Nelson song that was famously covered by Patsy Cline which, in many ways, made Willie’s career happen.

Learning how to play the keys has been a slow, but steady struggle bus. The biggest challenges so far (other than just learning all of the chords) are singing without murdering the keys, keeping my ugly mug up to the microphone and not staring down at the keyboard, and not going into a panic when I lose track of my right hand.

This take was about 25 tries in – mostly due to the bazillion* chords – and I hope it’s not so horrible that it destroys Willie’s career. :) Just posting as another milestone in the piano journey.

*note: Bazillion is more like 8. But it feels like a bazillion to me.
