There’s times I wonder if your hair is still black and long, if your eyes are still brown, staring shyly at the ground… if your button nose still curves just so… if your eyes still squeeze closed when you laugh.

Sometimes I wonder if you still love winter time, if you still believe in eternity of life. If you still enjoy singing loud with no one else around to hear a sound.

Nobody told me that cold October night if I let you say, “goodbye….” Nobody told me life could get lonely.

Sometimes I wonder if your hands are still warm like they used to be when you knew me… if my thoughts would still be followed by a silly, knowing smile… you’d understand.

Sometimes I wonder if you ever think of me, if you think of what we were or what we could be. Maybe I am to you just what you are to me… a photograph, and old photograph.
