Marissa Speakman, exudes haunting, hypnotic and sensual vocals over hip hop, trip hop and pop grooves. Marissa grew up in Columbus Ohio, an only child and known for singing a long to movies like “Grease” and “West Side Story”. The girl became obsessed with singing. When she hit the 5th grade, she found herself practicing in her room, from the time she got home from school, until she went to bed. As a child, Marissa appeared in many Christmas programs and loved to take the lead. She would teach herself how to sing in ways that voice lessons wouldn’t.
