Saturday Morning

You crawl out of bed on a Saturday morning and things are quiet, things are good.

The techno:

This was (accidentally) inspired by sandbags who was wrestling with MIDI and automation in Live. In trying to help I built up a thing where I had two empty midi tracks feeding a third with an analog on it. The analog track had an empty clip with some automation twiddling knobs on the synth. The other two tracks had some trivial C major notes (each in different octaves) on them feeding directly into analog as well. I was able to put different M4L midi effects on each of the midi tracks feeding the analog. Then I surfed some analog presets, twiddled a bit. Rendered that to a 4 bar loop and tossed it all. Then added some drums, very basic. Totally on feel, no quantization. Then added some guitar chordal noodling. Two tracks playing basically the same thing with different sounds, pickups, etc. Then a third solo track.
