Outside The Gates

no where to run
no starting gun
no near no far
no beating heart

home from work, i feel the same
roll(in) over –– reading all the work out plans
what could summon out my rage
easy does it with those god damn magazines

no high-way signs
no neon lights
not hard to find
if so inclined

never new how I would roll
never new how i got through to them all

fumbling around by the stairs
tumble down…in the night, no landing’s there
