Simpler Days
Simpler Days is a ballad by drummer-Matt.
While I was mixing it the words caught me off guard and the song stirred up some emotional stuff that I’m hoping might come through for the wider listening public.
Lyrics
Wherefore is this mystic feeling?
Why cannot it ever rest?
Bound out on a cold horizon
Got two or three to meet me there
Stupid suitcase full of sand
Take me back to simpler days
I know when it’s dead & done
and the lights start going wrong
Dance down sidewalks drunk and broken
Where the lamp-light fades and dies
Stupid suitcase full of sand
Take me back to simpler days
Son, I’ll see you
back in simpler days

Hey, this is cool. Nice job guys! Also, thank you for giving my makeshift Christmas tune a listen the other day.
This has a nice country joe groove and feel to it and I love the melody. It would help to share the lyrics they aren't really standing out enough for these old ears... not a criticism just sayin' I'm old. :) Thank you for sharing as always.
