A dear friend of mine passed away recently. She was a school librarian, and the library was kind of like the Cheers bar. Cynthia knew everyone and knew everything going on. For some reason, people were compelled to tell her stuff! Anyway…

This song was written for the retirement of a dear friend who was an art teacher. Her husband was already retired, and looked forward to being able to spend time with her. I wrote this from his point of view.
