God's Wonderful Railway
odh
So here is a piece which I first wrote and recorded around 20 years ago in the early 90’s. For a long time it had no title, just known as “bounces along keys”. Lately I’ve been toying with the idea of rerecording it. Then a couple of weeks ago I was watching James May’s Man Lab (a fine show). He had an article which featured an old Great Western Railway steam train. I thought to myslef “God’s Wonderful Railway”, that would make a good title for a song - hang on a minute, it would make a good title for this song.
This is a newly recorded version, all sounds from my Boss DR-5. Add a few suitable sound clips from my chums on Freesound.org and we’re good to go.
In the spirit of the attribution licence these clips were put up under;
Thanks to Acclivity on Freesound.org for the steam train sample at the start of the clip.
Thanks to Gadzooks on Freesound.org for the chuffuing train clip at the end.
THanks also to Bidone on Freesound.org for the steam whislte clip in the middle.
As you say it bounces along very nicely.
cool one, ODH. Good melody, very angular type of song, love the synth and especially the piano track.
