Scram! (acoustic gtr/vocal demo)
Jeff Gordon
July 11 - Skirmish. The prompt was - make your own prompt from any of the letters in “thermodynamic.” My first thought was to bale as it seemed to hard. Decided to have a little fun with it and be silly. Didn’t exactly create a prompt, but my title uses letters from the word.
VERSE:
Finally, some peace and quiet
Nine to Five’s got me plum worn out
Rush hour traffic makes me even crazier
Crawlin’ on the highway makes me wanna shout
Now I’m home sittin’ on the front porch
Havin’ my glass of Chablis
Then those kids pull up on their bikes
And throw apples at me
CHORUS:
I say Scram, why you lookin’ at me
Scram, there ain’t nothin’ to see
Scram, I’m not gonna say it again
Scram, you know I’m not your friend
So Scram!
Scram!
Scram!
Scram!
VERSE:
Good thing they missed with those apples
Who knows what I’d have done
Then a thought occurs to me
I could join in the fun
Like I did when I was a kid
I was mischievous too
But then they take another shot
I almost come unglued
CHORUS:
I say Scram, why you lookin’ at me
Scram, there ain’t nothin’ to see
Scram, I’m not gonna say it again
Scram, you know I’m not your friend
So Scram!
Scram!
Scram!
Scram!
