extermination: earth
phantasm777
i wrote this in 81 originally called - battlecry. but i updated it to a sci fi type armageddon story. a video would have went well with this but, maybe some day. all explosions, firepower, helicopter sounds and all battle sounds did on keys.
its about the final war, us against aliens and we lose. for the imagery, since it isn;t there via video, at about the 8:00 or so mark are the alein ships leaving. at about 9:17 the final explosiong of earth in the distance as the victorious crafts destroy it and speed away from the flying debris.
this doesnt sound as clear as i would like but i think the fact that there are about 33 tracks, might be effecting that. as usual i am playing all the instruments and singing. overall im quite pleased with this, but the recording could sound better. this song is about 10:46 in total time.

words and music by frank miller
they came
and tried to invade our lives
insane
and tried to enslave us in lies but we
stood
and will fight them to the end of our lives
good
but they have us so under seige
armed with lies and weaponry
shooting us un every way
no one thought that world war 3
would come to us in this way
bodies exploding, buildings leveled
fire in the air all the time
fighting us with things we don’t understand
things that blow our minds
they’re here
and have taken us over yet but
we fight
for we have nothing to lose on
this night
i fear it’s the end of the world
the end
but we won’t go down easily
shattered humans strewn about
our puny weapons don’t match
many ships in our air
but none of them are ours
say goodbye to humanity
there are no cities left
people in horror, scurrying
to avoid inevidible death
fire
everyone, everything burns
food
there is barely any left
time
is not on our fuckin side
death
marches in with the troops
carrying small weaponry
that take out city blocks
nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
avoiding the laser shots
humanity has come to an end
there is no more life left
if this isn’t hell ohhhh
then it’s certain death!
god help us if there is a god
for we’ve got nothin left
undermanned, underarmed
they’ve weapons we’ve never dreamt
bodies smoldering, sickening scents
craters, nowhere to hide
too ghastly but we fight on to death
i don’t think we’ve got much time
on and on the rapid fire
bombs are blasting away
people imploding, artillery exploding
they have some deadly rays whoahhh
i fear the time has come
and we’ve been over run
never thought we’d be invaded
our whole planet taken
and becoming desolate
never to be, again!
Pretty good - Rush has nothing on you! Of course we composed (but never performed) Singer's Overture quite some time before 2112....
