Needle Of Light formed in Pennsylvania in 1999 when members Margarine, Sounds Of The 70s, Liquid Plum-r and Dogs learned it was cheaper to rent a band rehearsal space than an apartment; to further their ruse, they brought instruments into their living space and began practicing, and once they had enough original songs, became a real touring band. Sounds Of The 70s left the group in 2012, replaced by newest member John Thompson.
