electronic-ish piece MMM brownies

This is a real person. He was one of the saddest millionaires I ever met.

The 2nd in the UU auction series. The person who won the auction wanted a song about the fellowship, the place we met on Sunday and the community. So I wrote this little kind of sing-a-long folk song.

A throwback to rampant sentimentality. Not for the jaded and cynical ears of the early 21st century, but for men and women traipsing around in evening attire in a black-and-white movie from the '30s.

Another downer, what can I say? Oddly enough though, it makes me smile.

This is the 3rd of the trio of UU auction songs. A love song was requested, so I wrote one based on my wife's favorite china pattern.

Disco Tech Goat Madness

Ha.. slowed down a punk song I wrote and added some anthem synth line for a indie rock feel I guess.

Started with three blind mice clav bassline. Added RS9 strings, vocoder. same strange loops...

Archtop song... usually I play this faster... Vocoder for the lyrics... Drums BFD2.

oops this is clipping. Will upload a better version soon. RPM deadline mistake. Basically I was going to have a friends rip some guitar solos over this one but hat did not happen in time. I played my hammond for this.

Started with a little guitar riff on the archtop, Played roland rs9 string synth through tremolo amp. Also has my tenor steel pan played live.

Archtop, electric guitar. No vocoder.. Not so sure on my voice for this one as I had a cold for pretty much the whole month of Feb.. Also think I put too much over all "warm plate" reverb on every track (that was a last minute RPM deadline decision)

Our first song, recorded with an inline computer speaker from a distance, so it's sound quality isn't great, but Nate's performance was. Recorded 2/26/2010
