A Little Too Late

2024 50/90 Challenge song idea number 9 becomes finished song number 25.

I waffle on this one. I don’t like it. Then I listen again and it’s okay. Then I listen again and I like it. Then I listen again and I hate it. That probably averages out to it being just meh.

All of the guitar tracks are my Les Paul Custom into both my Fender Bassbreaker 15 and Vox MV50 Clean running direct output and using their build in cabinet emulation. Pedals for the rhythm guitars are an MXR Phase 95 into a Klon KTR. Pedals for the leads are a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian into the KTR into a Seymour Duncan Vapor Trails.

Verse 1
Spaces
please take your places
This is what we’ve
always been working toward

Verse 2 & 3
Traces
look at those faces
There is no time
quite like the here and now

Chorus
It’s a little too late for that
I can see where you’re coming from
Things are moving a bit too fast
Have a feeling we’re almost done

Bridge
The summer turns to fall
Just like it always does
We cannot have it all
There’s no time left for that
