Lost in Translation
Robert James
2024 50/90 Challenge idea number 39 becomes finished song number 29.
I wrote the vocal track on mic before I had recorded any guitars. It was just bass, drums, and vocals… and the melody is… weird. Either that or my voice just out of tune everywhere. There is a harmony part throughout the entire song but I buried it because the pitch was just too weird. I will probably rewrite the melody and re-record the vocals to see if I can improve this because even though it’s a silly, dumb, pointless little song I really like it. Maybe what I really like is its potential, but that’s enough.
All of the guitars are Les Paul Standard. All of the amps are a Fender Bassbreaker 15 and a Vox MV50 Clean, both running direct output. The pedals on the rhythm tracks are just an Analog Man King of Tone. The leads used a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian into a Klon KTR.

Its taking too much time
Its cutting way too fine for me
There is no coming back
There is no final act for me

What can you say
No other way

It got lost in the translation
slipped away in the transmission
