Small Sacrifice
Robert James
The third song of my socially distant RPM ii: RPMarch 2020 thing or whatever it is.
I have this need to try and make 3/4 time rock. This one is okay. Recording the vocals in the car on a Friday morning before work is even weirder than usual when you account for the whole quarantinish thing we’ve got going on.
Rhythm guitar is a Les Paul, lead is an SG. No pedals at all, both plugged straight into a Fender Bassbreaker 15 like some kind of savage.
Chorus:
we can’t give up now
we can’t give in
we have to fight it
keep on living
Verse 1 and 3
you can’t get away
you’re going to stay
right there where you are
you’re not going far
Verse 2
we’re closing the door
we know what it’s for
we can’t run away
there’s no other way
Break:
there’s only
one option here
one option here (doesn’t actually fit the melody)
its such a
small sacrifice
