Untitled Volume (Version 2.0)
Robert James
I can’t tell if this song is good or if I just like it because it’s fun to jam over the ending.
This was one of my 50/90 gimmicks. I was planning on a bunch of songs with lyrics where each verse/chorus was a haiku. In the end I only did it a couple of times and in each case the melodies turned out pretty bad and difficult to sing. I was more concerned with counting syllables than singability.
For this second version I rewrote the whole melody. I tell myself I did it to make it more… ya know… melodic, but the honest truth is I probably just dumbed it down so I could have an easier time singing it… and then I sang like crap anyway.
But the ending is a lot of fun to jam over.
Guitars are all Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s and the amps are all Fender Bassbreaker 15. Pedals on the rhythm tracks were a Mooer E-Lady into a Keeley Super Phat Mod into a Ryra the Klone. Lead pedals were a Dunlop Cry Baby into the Ryra into a Wren and Cuff Super Russian.
I can’t explain this
it went down way too quickly
Hang on for your life
no explanation
No other choice for you now
there’s no exit plan
