What I'm About (rewrite of Hidden)

The first version of this is called Hidden and I uploaded it here a few months ago. It was supposed to be part of NaSoAlMo back in November, but that project never got off the ground and this was the only thing that survived.

I had mixed feelings about Hidden as I was recording it. I went from sort of not liking it to really not liking it to wanting to vomit at the very thought of it. I figured if my next project is finishing unfinished songs and fixing bad songs then I should give it another shot.

I had first planned to just rerecord the lead guitar parts but then after giving it a listen last night I thought the lyrics were too horrible to live and I decided they had to go too. Then I thought the rhythm guitar was really weak so that had to go too. Then I didn’t like the bass and drum sounds I used in garageband, and I though the tempo was a little too slow.

The MIDI tracks from garageband are the same recordings, but I changed the stock sounds and that required me to change the hi-hat and crash cymbals I had originally used. I scrapped all of the real instruments and recorded everything, and wrote new lyrics but kept the melody. I am happier with this song now. Still not terribly great, but I can live with it.
