Another experiment with the Reaktor ensemble ‘Metaphysical Function’ only a bit longer this time.
Again Reaktor is the only instrument at work here although it’s going through a mastering chain including Space Designer with a very short impulse.
I started by importing a sample into MF and then modifying and warping the oscillator parameters until I had something nice then brought in the disruptor cannons of spin, distortion, and resochord to make it all dark and threatening.
Really this thing is just too much fun to play with. It’s also inspiring me to try and build my own instrument in Reaktor to play with similar concepts but with a different approach.

Makes me think that it would be interesting to hear this before it got crushed to mp3. But maybe that would be too scary? Very cool, even if I have to hide under my desk.
