So?ing Machine

The night of the 23rd, conversation with a friend turned to tracker music, and they shared the .mod for coyote - “obsession”. Seeing the obvious opportunity presented by obtaining what amounted to a music project file, I thought it would be fun to make a fleshed-out remix of it Appear, so I loaded it up in SunVox on Christmas Eve and spent the day knocking this out. (Some garnishes of targeted Goof are present…)

Given context + artist name + the sound of it + clumsy initial googling, I thought maybe this was something they had saved from when they or someone they knew fiddled with a tracker, but coyote is actually an early 90s demoscene type person — according to https://demozoo.org/sceners/59067/ a member of SKiLLiON and Atlantida. It has proven difficult for me to quickly find any sort of trail leading to them in the present day, but if anyone knows someone who knows someone who knows everyone, it would be cool if they could be connected with this teeny little music entity’s fun-havery with the thing they did 33+ years ago!
