A Long Way to Say
There’s no easy word to say what I said.
I found the time and laid it on the line.
So many turns on this road,
What a long way to say.
We saw the same thing,
They get different meanings.
The parting of ways, upsetting our feelings.
So many turns in the road,
What a long way to say.
Oh, a long way to go,
And we never reach the end of the road.
All the twists and turns,
Hear the words and feel the burns.
No matter where you roam,
The roads all lead back home.
It’s so hard to hear
What the other is trying to say.
I don’t wanna ask, but I wanna know.
Suspecting the answer, perhaps I should go.
So many turns in this road,
What a long way to say.
Projected on me, deflected to you,
Whole lot of weeds to be sorted through.
So many turns in this road,
Took a long time to say.
Maybe we’ll hear each other
At the end of the day.
