When we assembled at the studio for our first REM Challenge 2023 recording session, Nick offered up a MIDI guitar piece he had been working on. Kevin, being chronically underprepared, did not have any decent sounding guitar VSTs installed on his laptop, so we tried an organ sound for the chords and liked it well enough to keep it. Matt added some live guitar over the organ and canned drum parts, then Kevin later added some bass. Later in the month, Nick sent an updated MIDI file with additional arpeggios at the end, which Kevin turned into a noisy, ambient outro.
