Kind of Like Bud Corts Waltz

I wanted a loose nod to “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues”, so I started it in the rain and ended it with returning to someplace I used to live. But then because of Bud Cort I thought the singer should inexplicably die at the end of each verse. This is how the phrase “going back to Charlotte” has, for me, become a euphemism for death.
That weird broken twangy sound is the Tremoloa. Recorded straight to tape in a ‘74 VW camper bus parked in a duplex garage.
You brought two of my favorite humans together for the first time -- Bud Cort and Bob Dylan. If you only had Ruth Gordon going full Yoko....
Actually kind of Crispen Glover and Howard Hessman too.
