The Apple Zed‘s debut album overflows with images of love, loss, life, and death. It is a concept album that intertwines two shaggy dog stories (one about an explorer seeking a change of occupation, and one about a veteran facing his mortality). While originally inspired by the yearly RPM Challenge, wherein participants write and record an original album in one month, the group ended up devoting a great deal more time, energy, and care into this work. The time has come for the fruits of their labours to be harvested and savored by all who hunger for them.
