Reg was feeling a little disturbed this morning like he’d missed his chances in life and wasted it ….

       I'd already done them

Theres a phrase in a book
That I’m afraid I havent read
Thats full of wisdom
I’m told you should read
before the day you are dead

I forget its name
I forget the author
But I know the words are wise
I can’t quite remember what he’s supposed to have said
But its supposed to be quite profound
It would cause your forehead to frown

When I think of the things I have missed out of in this life
When I think of the things that have gone and passed me by
all those stupid things
All those promises I made to myself not to do, then finding I’d done them
To throughly live as full life as I could but I find myself running out of time
Yeah I find myself running out of time

Whats a man to do when he feels he’s lost his way
Does he just stand still and cry or run and try to catch up with the day

If only I’d listened
if only I’d read
maybe I would have learned
Not to have done most of the things all those silly things that I have done
That we’re quite absurd
I wish i had read
I would have thrived
I wish I had learned from mistakes
But I know I didn’t
Trying seemed to me like a waste of time
